The standard curriculum M.Div. degree is the traditional degree for those desiring to take a more standardized approach to ministry education. It is also the recognized prerequisite degree for acceptance into the Doctor of Ministry degree.
Entrance into the Master of Divinity standard curriculum program requires an acceptable bachelor's degree from an approved institution. Please discuss the requirements for this degree with a Divinity School Admissions Advisor.
The Master of Divinity degree completion program is ideal for those with an uncompleted M.Div. degree. Therefore, those individuals who may have, for a variety of reasons, dropped out of their M.Div. program, can now reach their goal! It is also ideal for those who have earned a relevant graduate degree (e.g. M.Min., M.R.E., M.A.R., M.A. in Biblical Studies, etc.). of not less than 30 credits, and who wish to up-grade to the Master of Divinity degree.
Total credits required for the M.Div. is 86. Entrance requires not less than30 previously earned acceptable credits. Total credits required are not less than 24 and not more than 56 (depending on the total credits accepted for transfer).
